Lead designer, Frederik Werner from Norm Architects has driven the way for a collection of designed furniture for an interior renovation project in Tokyo.
They’ve collaborated along side Japan’s largest wood furniture manufacturer, Karimoku, with Keiji Ashizawa Design as well as Torafu Architects having also partaken in the workshops. Their main objectives were to design furniture for specific spaces, including private office and home spaces.
As featured — The Dining Chair
Using existing parts found within the factories of Karimoku, a minimal piece of furniture was created with a hybrid of Japanese and Scandinavian design aesthetics. Giving this piece a classic simple look from both cultures.
