A journey through the eyes and words of Lukas van der Lende
Equipped with an abundance of coffee and limitless “The Office” quotes, we took off to Seattle Washington and Oceanside Oregon.
We went to Olympic National Park, Mount Rainier National Park, Kerry Park, back to Olympic National Park, and then a beautiful drive down highway 101 to Oceanside Oregon.
I just carried a Nikon D750, 24mm 1.4, 50mm 1.8, 105mm 2.8 Macro and a Mavic Pro drone. I’ve always loved spending time in the city, going to different coffee shops, shooting architecture, but this trip was different. My best friend, Josh, planned the trip, and we spent very little time in the city.
I was blown away by the grandeur of Mt. Rainier, the beauty of Olympic National Park, specifically Hurricane Ridge, and then the peaceful driving down the coast of the Pacific Ocean until around 2am, just listening to the waves.
Oceanside Oregon was a little different, we spent a lot of times going to the beaches and hitting up landmarks, and we found this awesome brewery, Pelicans Brewing, and had dinner and sat by a fire on their deck. The trip was full of early mornings and late nights, exploring, shooting and editing late into the night. But it was so refreshing to just go shoot and explore a new place and be able to tell a story of the beautiful Pacific Northwest with my camera.
